Guernsey's 2008 Liberation Day (Friday 9th May) was a huge success. Our static display of military vehicles in the North Beach car park proved very popular with the crowds.
From about 10:00am onwards we had a large number of people on or around the vehicles. Guernsey Armouries (http://www.cwgsy.net/community/guernseyarmouries/) put in a big effort to bring the OT-810 half-track to the display, and it was a big hit with the public.
Another vehicle that proved popular was Vince Blampied's Russian Dnepr motorbike and sidecar, which is nearing the end of a complete restoration.
Our thanks to everyone who contributed to make the day such a success and a big thank you to everyone who visited us.
