Members of the Guernsey Military Vehicle Group were kept very busy at the 2011 North Show ( (held at Saumarez Park on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th August).

The Guernsey Military Vehicle Group staged a static display of vehicles on both days of the show and members also helped to man one of the entrance gates in the mornings.

Despite most members being at work there was a good turnout of vehicles for the display (there were a few more vehicles on the Thursday compared to the Wednesday) and thankfully the weather remained good for both days, with the rain staying away until late Thursday afternoon.

Those members that had taken time off work to be at the show were kept very busy answering questions about the vehicles from members of the public. Many of the visitors to the display also had interesting stories of their own to tell.

This was the first year that the Guernsey Military Vehicle Group has been at the North Show. With the display being such a success we hope that this is something we can build on in the future.
